British Motorsport Trust 2024 funding applications now open
The British Motorsport Trust (BMT) is pleased to announce that funding applications for 2024 Volunteer Officials’ training events are now being accepted.
Motorsport has the power to inspire thousands across the UK with high-speed and high-performance thrills, each and every week. The British Motorsport Trust has a vision for a safer sport, with empowered and enabled members of the community, equipped with the relevant training and regulated equipment to effectively deliver their roles to a high standard.
The Trust support the funding of industry-leading training programmes using the network of Motorsport UK licenced training instructors through its Training Day Programme.
These are tailored to specific risk areas that are uniquely placed within the world of motorsport. These programmes play an integral part in ensuring marshals know precisely what course of action to take when presented with a safety challenge at an event.
In 2023, 143 training events were offered around the UK and supported by the Trust covering topics such as introductory sessions for new Marshals, incident handling and mandatory upgrade modules.
If you would like to find out more about how you could apply for grant aid funding, or have any questions on the application process, please contact sue.fletcher@motorsportuk.org.
